The Italian Lighting Design Firm
Founded in Milan in 1993 by Franco Cassina, Nemo is considered a reference in the field of illumination, a name synonymous with innovation that has always inspired Italian and international design. Owned by Federico Palazzari, Nemo today produces the “Masters” collection, a unique selection of lamps designed by 20th century masters such as Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, Vico Magistretti, Franco Albini and Kazuhide Takahama. In addition to these projects, Nemo is also dedicated to developing contemporary icons in collaboration with designers such as Mario Bellini, Jean Nouvel, Andrea Branzi, Bernhard Osann and Arihiro Miyake.
In 2020, Nemo acquires the historic Turin company ILTI Luce, which specializes in innovative solutions for architectural lighting in the museum, retail and outdoor sectors.
The growth process is accelerated by the acquisition of a majority stake in Reggiani Illuminazione, a traditional company in the field of architectural lighting founded in Brianza in 1957: the company is expanding its project department with further expansion potential and is acquiring an internationally recognized portfolio of expertise in the important segment of high-end retail.
In 2024, Nemo Group strengthens its statement with the acquisition of FontanaArte and Driade, two icons of international design. The five companies in the group operate as independent entities, but within a broader framework of collaboration that contributes to the growth of Italian companies that have made design and lighting history worldwide.
Today, Nemo, with headquarters in Milan and offices in France and the USA, has a distribution network in more than 80 countries.
